“I've always been an active person, going through different sports: tennis when I was a teenager, then long distance running and finally landed in CrossFit. However, I always had some extra weight in my midline and I was self-conscious about it. In the summer of 2018 I broke my wrist and by doctor recommendation I wasn't allowed to sweat for 4 to 5 months. I ended up putting on quite a few pounds, and after trying a macro diet by myself I wasn't getting the results that I wanted. I looked out for help and Coach Merissa has been the BEST to have in my corner. We worked together setting up realistic goals and set up a plan to achieve those goals. More importantly, I learned that counting macros alone will not get me to where I wanted.
